The track, "The Sun Rose Grey" seems to be one of the favorites as per the indie college dj set. Included is the very Andy Warhol-esque quasi animated video for "Right Now"

In spring 2012, RV's track Beautiful Things from the debut disc, Crows and Doves was aired on BBC London's "Introducing" with Gary Crowley. Crows and Doves received "best of" listings 2010 from: rubber band girl/kalx/berkeley, machine age voodoo/wrsu, scholars and rogues/us, leaonard's lair/uk, audities@popunderground/uk, and pac/portugal. crows/doves has also gotten spins and reviews in the uk, japan, belgium, and selection by hofner guitars/germany for go/tv austria video session. Rabbit Velvet works with a laptop console combining loops, vocals, and guitars. Musical stylings are a pop/rock structure with lots of atmosphere underlying flighty, honey laden vox. Stauss was fronts woman for the lost patrol (nyc) on their noted start up six albums. Currently she is also with jersey freak folkers/asbury music award winners, afterglow (nj).

All is served over ice w tons of reverb & sugary vocals. Solo work of D Kimak Stauss after artistically noted dream pop alt rock & folk goth collaborations reaching ears from Nashville to Nurnberg. ... more

Track Name: the sun rose grey
slowly waking in your house
waiting quiet like a mouse
i couldn't wait to see your face
it was the morning
that the sun rose

beckoning calls of low seabirds
hoping you would stir in haste
it was the morning
that the sun rose

i still dream i am with you
safe in the bedroom blue
it's the morning
i'll hold on to
